Common Errors

General error codes that are not documented as a part of each API endpoint.

As a REST-based API Nova returns all of it's errors are returned as HTTP responses. Generally, these will have details in them regarding what the error was, unless it's a global REST standard.

Common examples of that are listed below.

403 Forbidden

Your API key is either invalid, or, you are attempting to access an object or scope that your API does not have access to.

405 Method Not Allowed

You have likely sent the wrong HTTP verb type to an endpoint. For example, sending a POST to a PATCH endpoint, or a GET to a DELETE endpoint, etc.
